Job summary

Nassal office in Orlando seeks an Accountant to support clerical accounting, AP/AR, and tax compliance for multi-state operations. You will prepare reports, assist with financial reporting, and help assemble client billing packages under contract terms.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-state sales and use tax returns is preferred.
• Knowledge of state and local sales/use tax regulations, exemption certificates, and tax audit support is preferred.
• Experience in construction industry or project-based accounting environment is preferred.
• Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred.
• Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including ledgers and cash flows.
• Exposure to subcontract POs, including insurance and subcontractor requirements.
• Basic understanding of lien rights.
• Discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Performs data entry and clerical support for operational accounting.
• Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable promptly and accurately.
• Provides ad hoc reports and analysis to project teams.
• Assists with information for internal and external financial reporting.
• Assembles client billing packages per contract terms and ensures timely payment.
• Prepares bank deposits and cash receipts.
• Prepare, review, and file multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Monitor tax compliance with state/local regulations.
• Research taxability issues and provide recommendations.
• Reconcile sales/use tax accounts and support audits.
• Coordinate with project teams, procurement, and AP on tax treatment.
• Maintain exemption certificates and support tax process improvements.
