Brown Builders Inc. is seeking an Accountant – Construction Accounting to manage the company’s accounting operations on-site in Bossier City, LA, reporting to the CFO.

You’ll oversee job cost monitoring, monthly closings, budgeting, and forecasting, collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, experience in construction accounting, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience in construction accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and schedules.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
• Monitor job costs, budgets, commitments, and actual expenses.
• Support CFO, project management, and departments with financial information.
• Assist with tax preparation and internal controls.
