Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking an Accountant in Johnsburg, IL to join our client’s team onsite. You will handle AP/AR, assist with reconciliations and month-end close, and serve as the payroll backup using ADP.

This full-time direct-hire role collaborates with the accounting team in a construction-focused environment. Responsibilities include vendor invoicing, job costing, billing, collections, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with GAAP, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Construction accounting or trade industry experience required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with ADP payroll software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and match purchase orders.
• Ensure accurate job cost coding and expense allocation.
• Maintain vendor records and payment schedules.
• Prepare and submit progress billings.
• Monitor customer accounts and collections activity.
• Post and reconcile customer payments.
• Backup payroll administrator using ADP.
• Reconcile bank and General Ledger accounts.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting.
• Assist with additional accounting and admin projects.
