Job summary

BOWA Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to monitor project progress, investigate variances, approve expenses, and issue billings from the Chicago Downtown office. You’ll handle AR/AP, certified payroll, job costing, and general ledger postings for multiple projects.

Qualifications include an associate degree with 2+ years in construction accounting; proficiency with Procore and Textura is preferred. This on-site role demands strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• This role requires an associate degree and 2+ years in construction accounting.
• Experience with general contractor accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with project accounting software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Create project accounts in CMiC and manage job cost tracking and reporting.
• Maintain project records including contracts and change orders.
• Review and approve supplier invoices and overhead charges.
• Process construction draws and GL postings for multiple projects.
• Report project profitability and funding availability to management.
