Job summary

LSI in Twinsburg, OH seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle AP for construction projects, including job costing and compliance with industry requirements.

You will generate purchase orders and high‑volume invoices, verify accuracy, manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers, and support month‑end close with accruals and AP aging analysis while collaborating with project managers and accounting staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (construction industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles
• Experience with job costing and construction documentation (lien waivers, AIA billing, etc.) preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Foundation, Sage, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Office Suite Experience

Responsibilities

• Generate purchase orders and process high volume invoices
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, approvals, and proper job cost coding
• Manage subcontractor payments, including lien waivers, insurance compliance, and W-9 documentation
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way matching)
• Maintain organized records of all AP transactions and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and AP aging analysis
• Collaborate with project managers and accounting staff to ensure accurate job costing
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit standards
• Oversee the AP inbox and respond to inquiries
• Support year-end processes, including 1099 preparation
