Job summary

Ahern in Fond du Lac, WI seeks an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, ensure GAAP compliance on projects, and configure contracts in the ERP system to support revenue recognition.

You will collaborate with project teams, supervisors, and auditors, prepare labor reports and contractor statements, review lien waivers, perform reconciliations, and participate in month-end close with an emphasis on process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure GAAP compliance for projects.
• Set up and monitor projects in the ERP system and configure contracts for revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with project managers, billing specialists, and auditors to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare labor reports and contractor tax statements; audit contracts and change orders.
• Review and execute final lien waivers and manage supplier waivers.
• Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close activities.
