Job summary

ADVENT in Milwaukee seeks a Senior Accountant to manage monthly closings, journal entries, and reconciliations while partnering with departments on payroll, benefits, inventory, and fixed assets.

The role requires 5 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, GAAP proficiency, and strong Excel skills; CPA preferred. We offer a hybrid work model, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five years experience in accounting, healthcare or public accounting preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing procedures with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Record payroll, benefits, inventory, and fixed assets with supporting schedules.
• Provide insights on monthly results including variances from budget/forecast.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and clinic analyses.
• Support annual budgeting and audit preparations.
• Assist with 401(k) plan audits and HR collaboration for contributions.
• Contribute to developing accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
