Job summary

Confidential Global in New York seeks an Accounting Associate to verify AIA documents, lien waivers, insurance, and related project paperwork.

You will work with the project team, vendors and subcontractors to manage job cost requests and payroll documentation, and you will process accounts payable and assist with budgeting.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in accounting and 2+ years' construction accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in accounting within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Verifies accuracy of AIA documents from subcontractors including project roll forward and supporting documentation (lien waivers, insurance, etc).
• Works with project team, vendors and subcontractors to manage job cost requests, including lien waivers, insurance, certified payroll and any additional required documents.
• Process accounts payable and reconcile job costing and budgeting.
• Attends meeting with project managers to review project status and provides support.
• Assists with monthly accounting and budgeting process.
• Ad hoc projects as required.
