Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Construction Accounting / Accounts Payable Specialist in Suwanee, GA. This full-time, in-office role starts by leading construction AP and expands into broader construction accounting leadership.

You will manage vendor COIs, lien waivers, job costing, and payment processes while aiding month-end close and Procore implementation. The position offers growth into leadership and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction job cost accounting, lien waivers, COIs, and paid-when-paid processes.
• Experience with vendor compliance and AP workflows.
• Experience with Procore is a significant advantage.
• Stable employment history and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process approximately 300 construction-related invoices per month.
• Manage the full construction accounts payable process.
• Review and maintain vendor compliance documentation, including COIs and lien waivers.
• Perform accurate job cost coding for construction projects.
• Track and administer paid-when-paid payment requirements.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end accounting processes as responsibilities expand.
• Support construction accounting functions beyond transactional accounts payable.
• Participate in the continued implementation and optimization of Procore.
• Grow into additional accounting management responsibilities over time.
