Job summary

MAAS in California seeks an experienced Construction Administrator/Project Manager to review drawings, define scope and schedule, and lead constructability reviews before bidding. You will coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and drive value engineering at design start.

The role emphasizes ownership of project outcomes, written design team communications, and collaboration with the Design Manager and Owner's Representative.

Qualifications

• 15 years of full-time paid experience with a bachelor’s degree in architecture on public or school projects.
• Or, 15 years as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager on large public, school, or commercial construction with full ownership of coordinating complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and help define the project scope and schedule, including interim housing needs.
• Provide value engineering suggestions at the start of design.
• Draft written comments on drawings to reduce contractor questions and avoid paid changes.
• Ensure architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines agree.
• Perform a full constructability review of documents before bid.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager and Owner's Authorized Representative.
