The Department of Public Health, also known as Public Health - Seattle & King County (DPH) is seeking a Consolidated Contracts Manager(Contract Specialist III) within the Administrative Services Division, to act as the lead Contract Specialist responsible for receivable agreements for DPH and to manage the Consolidated Contract (Con Con) with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).
The Con Con is the contract mechanism used to transmit federal and state funding for public health services to the local health jurisdictions where the services are delivered. For this work, we are looking for an enthusiastic team member to manage these contracts and flow-down requirements and guide program managers and teams seeking to innovate and improve our effectiveness in delivering public health services. This work includes enhancing communication and transparency with contracted partners, providing critical feedback to program managers and teams, collecting and reporting on operational and financial goals and performance measures, analyzing budgets, and completing cost recovery plans.
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in working with others, a solid technical background in contract development, monitoring, and management, and knowledge and experience in public health. The successful candidate will model and build a culture of teamwork, excellence, transparency, and accountability, incorporating the County's Equity and Best-Run Government principles. They will ensure policies, practices, and agreements are followed and guiding work consistent with the Public Health Strategic Plan. The successful candidate is expected to be highly skilled at building relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussions, making decisions that satisfy diverse interests and contribute to organization goals, and effectively communicating key strategies to program management, fiscal staff, and leadership.
Background
The Contract Unit provides centralized support for the department's needs around payable contracts and memoranda of agreement, and grants/receivable agreements.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (ineligible for overtime).
Work Location
Significant portions of work will be conducted remotely with the ability to come on site as needed. Office located at Chinook Building, 401 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
