Job summary

Agriculture Stewardship Hawaiʻi seeks a Healthy Agroecosystems Program Manager to lead conservation initiatives across Hawaiʻi’s working lands. You will supervise an experienced team, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with NRCS standards while coordinating with partners and funders.

The role focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating cost-share and incentive projects, expanding partnerships, and delivering high-impact environmental outcomes for Hawaiʻi’s agricultural community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Hawaiʻi in agriculture, conservation, natural resource management, environmental science, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and coordinating conservation programs.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multiple projects, priorities, and timelines.
• Experience working directly with farmers, ranchers, or agricultural organizations in Hawaiʻi.
• Experience managing funder relations or organizational partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Healthy Agroecosystems Program staff and budget, including contract management and reporting.
• Ensure NRCS standards alignment and coordinate with SWCDs and partners.
• Lead development of program plans, scopes, and implementation procedures with administrative support.
• Foster strong partnerships with producers, agencies, and funders to advance conservation outcomes.
