Job summary

Experimental Aircraft Association Inc in Oshkosh, WI seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, repair, preventive tasks, and groundskeeping across the facilities and grounds. After training, you’ll work independently following established procedures to keep buildings, vehicles, and equipment safe, clean, and functional, and support event setup and teardown.

This role requires initiative, good judgment, and the ability to use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Building and general maintenance, Use of standard hand and power tools, Carpentry and painting, Lawn care, mowing, and planting, General cleaning.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to work varying schedules, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all general maintenance and/or ground duties and repairs as required on property maintained by EAA.
• Supports departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly, and monthly checklist.
• May assist in working with outside contractors, guests, and volunteers.
• Responsible for clean up, to EAA standards, of vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Assist with event preparations and takedown of facilities for use during AirVenture and other special events.
• Performs loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment.
• May be responsible for operation of various types of hand and power tools, equipment; machinery, and vehicles of all types.
