Job summary

BakerHostetler seeks a Conflicts Analyst to join the Intake Services department in the United States. The role supports conflict reviews and clearance for lateral attorney hires and other new hires, coordinating across multiple time zones with West Coast hours.

You will review conflicts forms, conduct searches, research relationships and affiliations, coordinate onboarding, prepare conflict reports, maintain records, and uphold confidentiality and firm policies while collaborating with attorneys

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of law firm conflicts experience.
• Experience with conflicts analysis, new business intake, and conflicts clearance processes.
• Proficiency with Intapp or other conflicts software and legal research tools.
• Proven MS Office skills and ability to learn new software.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills.
• Discretion with confidential information; client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review conflicts forms and information submitted by candidates and new hires.
• Conduct conflicts searches and analyze results to identify conflicts and determine further review.
• Research prior client relationships, matter involvement, adverse parties, and affiliated entities.
• Coordinate onboarding of lateral attorneys, including onboarding activities and matter openings.
• Prepare conflicts reports and summaries and document resolutions.
• Review client and matter information for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Respond to inquiries regarding conflicts searches and status.
• Maintain the integrity of conflicts and intake database records.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive information.
• Stay current on Firm policies and conflicts procedures.
