Job summary

Duane Morris LLP is seeking a Conflicts and Business Intake Compliance Counsel to identify and resolve actual and potential conflicts of interest arising from new business intake and the hiring of lawyers and staff.

The role provides legal and operational support to the Office of General Counsel, helping implement risk management strategies relating to conflicts, ethical screens, client onboarding, and engagement letters, and works with partners, associates and staff across the firm.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing
• Experience handling conflicts of interest in a law firm
• Familiarity with engagement letters and waivers

Responsibilities

• Perform initial conflicts review and coordinate resolution
• Advise on engagement letters and waivers for new engagements
• Monitor intake compliance and ethical screening implementations
• Assist attorneys in understanding conflicts and risk management
• Review conflicts for incoming lateral hires and staff
