Job summary

JOHNLEONARD is seeking a Conflicts Analyst in Boston to identify and analyze potential conflicts of interest for new clients and matters. You will work closely with Intake Attorneys and firm lawyers to support legal compliance, risk management, and new business intake.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in law-firm conflicts, with proficiency in Intapp Open, Elite 3E, iManage, and research databases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience, including at least 1 year of law firm conflicts experience.
• Knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct and conflict of interest requirements, or the ability to learn and apply them quickly.
• Proficiency with Intapp Open, Elite 3E, and iManage.
• Experience using corporate research databases, such as Capital IQ and LexisNexis.
• Strong legal research and analysis skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Strong judgment, integrity, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct conflict of interest searches and analysis in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct and client guidelines.
• Communicate conflict findings to Intake Attorneys and firm lawyers; provide recommendations.
• Generate and process Intapp Open requests and prepare conflict reports.
• Conduct corporate research to identify affiliations and ownership structures.
• Gather information for accurate conflict searches from attorneys and staff.
• Maintain detailed documentation of conflict resolution efforts and outcomes.
• Review new business submissions for completeness and compliance with procedures.
• Maintain accurate party/matter information in internal databases.
• Prioritize requests and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
• Support development of conflicts procedures and workflows.
• Advise firm personnel on established policies and procedures.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in off-hours coverage rotation; occasional weekends/holidays.
