NBI Conflicts Analyst - National Law Firm

Top-ranking national law firm seeks a Conflicts Analyst to join the firm's growing team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely analysis of conflict searches and reports, while ethically screening. The Conflicts Analyst will also manage the lateral hire vetting process and all new business intake matters. This position reports directly to the Risk Manager and collaborates regularly with the General Counsel and other department heads. The firm has developed a structured process and provides thoughtful training. Candidates willing to adapt their experiences to the firm's processes are especially encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform and analyze conflict searches for new engagements, identifying any potential conflicts of interest with concise reports;
2. Review conflict reports and identify conflicts requiring further review by attorneys;
3. Assist attorneys with interpreting reports and resolving conflicts;
4. Research client entities to identify additional conflicts of interest;
5. Guide internal clients on policies and procedures related to new business intake;
6. Ensure compliance of new engagements with firm policies;
7. Assist the General Counsel with conflict and new business intake issues;
8. Manage inquiries regarding new business intake and conflicts in a timely manner;
9. Review engagement and retainer letters for compliance;
10. Perform conflict searches for lateral candidates and coordinate conflict clearance;
11. Maintain and update client and matter databases according to firm procedures;
12. Participate in monthly team meetings and collaborate on relevant issues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 3 years of related experience in a law firm;
• Ability to work remotely while managing responsibilities effectively;
• Strong research, decision-making, proofreading, and technical skills;
• Excellent analytical skills with independent judgment;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Flexible, dependable, and willing to work overtime as needed.
