Job Description

NBI CONFLICTS ANALYST - National Law Firm

Top-ranking national law firm seeks a Conflicts Analyst to join the firm's growing team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely analysis of conflict searches, reports, and ethical screening. The Conflicts Analyst will also manage the lateral hire vetting process and all new business intake matters. This position reports directly to the Risk Manager and collaborates with General Counsel and department heads. The firm values adaptable candidates willing to align their experience with its processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze conflict searches for new engagements, preparing concise conflict reports.
• Review conflict reports to identify conflicts requiring attorney review.
• Assist attorneys in interpreting reports and resolving conflicts.
• Research client entities to identify additional conflicts of interest.
• Guide internal clients on policies and procedures for new business intake.
• Ensure compliance of new engagements with firm policies.
• Support the General Counsel on conflicts and new business matters.
• Manage inquiries regarding new business intake and conflicts promptly.
• Review engagement and retainer letters for compliance.
• Conduct conflict searches for lateral candidates and coordinate with management.
• Maintain and update client and matter databases.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate on relevant issues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• At least 3 years of relevant law firm experience.
• Ability to work remotely with high follow-up standards.
• Strong research, decision-making, proofreading, and technical skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and independent judgment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexible, dependable, and willing to work overtime as needed.
