Job summary

O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Houston seeks a Conflicts Analyst to support New Business and Lateral New Hire processes. You will identify, review, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest with attorneys and staff.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and excellent communication in a collaborative environment. This role may be within commuting distance of any US OMM office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years’ conflicts analysis with new business or lateral hires at a law firm preferred.
• Experience with Intapp Open, Intapp Walls, NetDocs or other risk management tools highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and meet deadlines; flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize conflict check reports using the firm’s automated conflicts database.
• Analyze requests for New Business conflicts searches and obtain clear information to facilitate conflict check forms.
• Oversee conflicts review for lateral attorney and new hire candidates, including assisting with questionnaires and reporting.
• Research prospective clients and entities to provide clear summaries of required steps to address conflicts.
• Update and input data into conflicts and financial databases and verify information for accuracy.
• Interact with Conflicts Attorneys to discuss reports and resolutions.
• Follow up on new business and lateral conflict issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Respond to department emails with accuracy and professionalism.
• Assist in the development and training of other team members.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
