Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a Manager of Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment to lead the COI/COC program. The role reviews disclosures, advises faculty and administrators, and ensures compliance with federal regulations and university policies across units.

The manager serves as a primary contact for disclosures, drafts handling plans, and coordinates with central offices to support annual cycles and policy updates while promoting best practices in research

Qualifications

Advanced degree or professional certification in research compliance or administration.
Experience administering COI/COC programs at a research university or academic medical center.
Working knowledge of PHS/NIH financial COI regulations and sponsor COI disclosure requirements.
Experience with faculty outside-activity and consulting approval processes.
Familiarity with organizational COI requirements and external advisory boards.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day operations of COI/COC program functions and oversight.
Review disclosures, escalate complex matters, and coordinate with faculty and research administrators.
Prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for committee reviews; draft memoranda and management plans.
Monitor and report on disclosure cycles, recertification, and close-out.
Develop updates to policy and provide training and outreach to campus stakeholders.
