Job summary

ConfiKids, Inc. seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising, donor relations, and board engagement as we approach 10 years of impact. This part-time, remote role supports events, communications, and reporting with the Executive Director and volunteers.

The ideal candidate is a nonprofit generalist with strong project management, communication, and data skills. Flexible hours and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience.

Job description

The Development Director will play a key role in leading ConfiKids, Inc.’s fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and operations. A great candidate for this role would be a nonprofit generalist, skilled in many areas. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage multiple projects, work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and volunteers, and contribute to the overall success of our development efforts as we approach 10 years.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising

• Plan and execute fundraising events, including one gala per year (with the support of a committee), auctions, oversee/ manage charity races (Falmouth) and rides (Rodman Ride) and community outreach activities.
• Manage logistics for events, including venue arrangements, catering, and volunteer management with help of committee.
• Track and analyze event outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

1. Donor Relations

• Maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
• Prepare and send donor acknowledgment letters, impact reports, and other communications including digital solicitations.
• Manage a donor database (Bloomerang), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Mailing List and Donor List management, including keeping the database clean and updated.

1. Board Support

• Help the Executive Director prepare materials before board meetings.
• Present on Fundraising initiatives, campaign goals and outcomes and operational improvements to the Board of Directors.

Location: Remote (with occasional local travel to events)

Hours: Part-time (30 hours per week) during traditional working hours including some evening or weekend events/ meetings.

Compensation: $50,000 annually

Start Date: November 2026

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field.
• Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Google Products under qualifications (google drive, google sheets, google docs, etc)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect, Bloomerang preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Demonstrated passion for ConfiKids, Inc.’s mission and commitment to supporting children and families.
