Job summary

DAS Services is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist (Journeyman level) to support software development by developing and implementing CM processes. The role emphasizes CM auditing, baselines, and control across systems, with hands-on use of JIRA, Puppet, Confluence, and GitHub to automate workflows.

The ideal candidate will have a Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least 2 years of CM experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CM experience within the last 4 years.
• Proficiency with CM tools and scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps environments.

Job description

Summary: DAS Services is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist (Journeyman level) to support software development projects by developing and implementing configuration management (CM) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software configuration auditing, version control, and baseline management, along with hands‑on experience using CM tools and scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Configuration Management (CM) Plans.
• Audit software change procedures, development, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with CM plans and procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and software product evaluations.
• Ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of software baselines across systems.
• Manage code repositories, conduct audits, and support documentation control for software projects.
• Utilize CM tools such as JIRA, Puppet, Confluence, GitHub, and scripting languages to automate processes.
• Support and enhance CM practices within DevSecOps and Agile environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Active Secret required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or other relevant Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant CM experience within the last 4 years.
• Tools & Skills:
  • Proficiency with CM tools (e.g., JIRA, Puppet, GitHub, Confluence).
  • Experience with scripting for automation and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps environments.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with federal or defense software development and CM standards.
• Understanding of secure code development and related compliance requirements.
