Job summary

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst II/III to support the CSS Program at Dahlgren, VA. The role covers planning, identification, control, status accounting and audits of CM data, with on-site responsibilities in a Navy-focused environment.

The successful candidate will manage data records, maintain file repositories (iPDM, SharePoint), prepare MSRs/IPR presentations, and ensure quality of CDRLs. A Secret clearance and DoD CM experience are required or highly preferred.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active Secret clearance.
• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years of DoD Configuration Management experience.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels, including Navy leadership.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently or in a team.
• Strong technical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; able to present technical material.

Responsibilities

• Perform meeting secretariat functions: generate agendas, distribute artifacts, track comments, minutes, and action items.
• Review/update CM plans, processes and procedures in CM areas.
• Participate in technical reviews, IPTs, and working groups representing CM efforts.
• Enter and maintain data records; perform database management.
• Track documents through technical review process and consolidate comments.
• Maintain file repositories/workflows in online repositories (iPDM, SharePoint).
• Ensure quality and timeliness of all CDRLs; generate MSR and present IPRs.
• Perform QA of configuration data; develop and maintain SOPs for CM tasks.

Overview

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst II/III to join our team! In this position you will support the Combat System Simulations (CSS) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for board support, data entry and status accounting of CM related data. This role will assess the state of existing plans, process, and procedures associated with CM tools in the areas of CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Audits. This is an on‑site position located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform Configuration Management/Data Management functions: Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Status Accounting, Audits, and Data Management
• Perform meeting secretariat functions: Generate agendas, distribute artifacts for review, track/consolidate comments, accurately capture/distribute highlights/minutes and track action items
• Review/update plans, processes, and procedures associated with the CM functional areas (i.e., Configuration Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Audits, and Data Management)
• Participate in technical reviews, integrated product teams, and working groups representing CM efforts
• Enter and maintain data records and perform database management
• Track documents/changes through a technical review process and consolidate comments for adjudication meetings
• Maintain file repositories and workflows in online repositories (such as iPDM, SharePoint, etc.)
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of all CDRLs
• Generate the Monthly Status Report (MSR) and prepare/present In-Process Review (IPR) presentations
• Perform Quality Assurance of configuration data to ensure accuracy
• Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes for all work performed on task

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance
• High school diploma
• Demonstratable knowledge of CM principles, methods, and techniques
• Three (3) – Five (5) years of previous DoD CM experience
• Highly proficient with MS Office tools, primarily MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, government customers, and program sponsors
• Ability to multi‑task, work well independently and in a team environment
• Self‑starter with strong technical skills and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documents
• Excellent oral communication skills; must possess ability and willingness to present technical material to Navy leadership at the 0‑6 Flag/SES level (department heads, program office, etc.)
