Job description

Job Title: Configuration Management Analyst

SAIC is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to work remotely in San Diego, CA.

The Configuration Management Analyst for Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I), PMW 160 will be responsible for supporting PMW 160 programs production baselines through database administration utilizing the Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool CMPRO in support of the CM implementation to support software baselines. Working across multiple business process areas, the Analyst will gather, analyze, and verify data on existing enterprise platforms, locations, hardware, software, and documentation for entry into the configuration management system (CMPRO) for the establishment or update of baselines in accordance with PMW 160 Configuration Management Plan (CMP).

Responsibilities:
  1. Supporting the government's CM program and assisting the lead CMS in developing, reviewing, and maintaining the PLM Tool CMPRO.
  2. Assisting the lead CMS with product structure/configuration hierarchy definition and maintaining configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product, As-Installed).
  3. Managing user accounts within the PLM Tool, CMPRO.
  4. Working with NIWC Network Administrators to resolve system/network problems and to provide updates and bug fixes to the web site with associated CM implementation.
  5. Testing and integrating vendor application updates prior to installation/implementation in the Production instance.
  6. Reviewing, updating, and providing CM process training to contractor and government personnel as required.
  7. Establishing complete baselines for hardware and software and displaying the information via the CM data repository.
  8. Supporting the government's Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) process and procedures.
  9. Providing weekly status updates and Monthly Activity Reports.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IS, or IT desired.
  • 4+ years of experience in performing Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Audits.
  • Software Configuration Management experience is a plus.
  • Database Administration experience is a plus.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Reside in or relocate to the San Diego, CA area.
  • Prior experience with PMW 160 or other NAVWAR organizations.
  • Familiar with the use of CMPRO, JIRA, Confluence.
  • CMPIC certification is a plus.

Additional Information:

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
