Job summary

Center for Family Services in Bridgeton, NJ seeks a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate Coordinator to provide advocacy, crisis intervention, case management and survivor support. The role includes community education and outreach, with supervision from the Outreach Supervisor.

The position is full-time with a $25/hour wage and a $500 sign-on bonus. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in psychology or social work; bilingual Spanish abilities are preferred; driving and vehicle insurance are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field is required.
• Work experience may substitute for education on a year‑to‑year basis.
• Bilingual preferred with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in Spanish.
• Public Speaking is desirable.
• Current driver’s license with a driving record of at least three years.
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy, crisis interventions/response, support sessions/psycho‑education to individuals and family members affected by sexual violence.
• Provide case management and referrals for survivors and safety planning.
• Respond to 24‑hour hotline and accompany individuals through procedures at hospitals, police, prosecutor’s office and court.
• Provide individuals with case-related medical and legal information and referrals.
• Maintain individual case files following state and agency guidelines.
• Assist with outreach and volunteer recruitment efforts.
• Assist with certification training for 60‑Hour NJ State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate and Domestic Violence Response Team.
• Complete monthly and quarterly statistics and reports.
• Participate in community meetings and SERV Prevention Coalition and NJCASA meetings.
