Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is seeking an Event Conference Planner II to manage Conference Operations and Off-Campus Housing Resources for revenue-generating spaces. You will market and sell conference programs, including housing, food service, meeting space, and related duties.

The incumbent works with vendors, guests, and campus partners to provide hospitality services, leads student conference staff, and backs up Summer Conference assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience required.
• Four years of related hospitality or event planning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conference Services Coordination - Administer the year-round Conference Services Program and coordinate use of revenue-generating spaces, including planning, development and execution of conferences, events, seminars, and workshops.
• Off-Campus Housing Coordination - Advise students and families on housing options and resources, and provide programs to assist students in transitioning to independent living in nearby communities.
