Job summary

Diamond’s Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Conduit Specialist to support underground utility construction operations and ensure accurate, compliant conduit installation for telecom, electrical, and related infrastructure.

The role emphasizes reading construction drawings, meeting project tolerances, and maintaining inspection-ready sites while following OSHA, VDOT, and 811/Dig Safe requirements. Opportunities for advancement and steady, year-round work are available.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of conduit installation or underground utilities experience.
• Experience with PVC, HDPE, and/or duct bank systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of trenching, grading, and installation tolerances.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install underground conduit systems (PVC, HDPE, steel) for telecom and electrical applications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble conduit to meet project specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and depth of conduit runs.
• Install sweeps, bends, couplings, and vault connections.
• Assist with duct bank installations, including spacers and encasement preparation.
• Support trenching, excavation, and backfilling operations.
• Verify trench depth, grade, and bedding material prior to conduit placement.
• Ensure proper compaction and restoration following installation.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, profiles, and utility plans.
• Verify conduit placement meets project specifications and tolerances.
• Assist with mandrel testing, pull tape installation, and inspection readiness.
• Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas.
• Follow OSHA, VDOT, and local safety standards; comply with 811/Dig Safe requirements.
