Job summary

Carolinaconduit is seeking an experienced job site foreman for on-site leadership of underground utility construction projects. You will read plans and blueprints, ensure safety compliance, coordinate with customers, and manage layout and production on active sites.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and willingness to travel with overnight assignments. You will oversee trenching, shoring, traffic control, and site logistics to meet schedules and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in construction, preferably underground utilities and trench excavation.
• Solid communication and organizational skills are required.
• Must be open to travel and overnight assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site meetings with customers to plan and coordinate construction activities.
• Enforce company safety guidelines on all sites.
• Layout on site from blueprints and measure elevations from benchmarks.
• Focus on production quality, installation details, and standards.
• Manage excavation and shoring and traffic control on site.
• Scout job sites for utility locates and prepare to start work.
• Coordinate with project manager to maintain schedules and targets.
• Schedule equipment, tools, and materials for the job site.
• Adapt priorities as needed to keep projects on track.
• Assist in tracking completed work for billing.
• Represent the company with clients as a point of contact.
• Complete daily pre-task safety planning and weekly time sheets.
