Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Conduit Bender for a 2-4 week contract in Mount Pleasant, IA. The role will involve installing utilities and network infrastructure within a 5-person crew in a warehouse setting, following supervision to safely install conduit, pipe, and cable services.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing pull-backs, and coordinating with ground crews while adhering to safety policies. Start date in October 2026 with in-person interviews in Mount Pleasant, IA.

Qualifications

• Previous experience bending or manipulating conduit.
• Knowledge of cabling to include copper, fiber or conduit.
• Ability to read utility locates and job plans.
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Read and interpret utility locates, bore profiles, and construction drawings.

• Set up, operate, and maintain power equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate with ground crews, locators, and supervisors to ensure safe operations.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Complete daily production and safety documentation.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and site‑specific safety policies.
• Perform job site setup and cleanup, including loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment.
• Hand‑dig entry and exit pits as needed.
• Support potholing and utility exposure activities.
• Pull conduit, pipe, or cable during bore operations.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Perform traffic control and site safety tasks when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and daily inspections.

Job Summary

The CONDUIT BENDER will work to install utilities and network infrastructure. This is only a 2-4 week project working 20/hrs per week. The CONDUIT BENDER will work in 5-person crew taking guidance and direction. The CONDUIT BENDER will work in a warehouse environment to setup network services for an enterprise retail leader. With supervision the CONDUIT BENDER will safely install conduit, pipe, and cable services.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
