Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level to junior cabling technician for a contract role onsite in Trenton, SC. The position involves wiring installation, rack assembly, fiber knowledge, and bench-to-closet work in data centers.

You'll layout, install, terminate, and pull wiring, work inside and outside data centers, and follow standard procedures. Shift Monday to Friday 6am-5pm with benefits eligibility as described.

Qualifications

• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and other project documents, incl. specs, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.

• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Work inside and outside building out the data centers.
• Shift is Monday- Friday 6am-5pm.
• Pulls wire and/or oversees conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operates tools/equipment, e.g. cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers.

Day to Day:

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
• Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.
• Shift is Monday- Friday 6am-5pm.
• Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
