Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be physically able to perform lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with on-call, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to travel as required and work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Communicate, monitor, and report daily work using oral and written information.
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing and ensure alignment.
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations and report conditions.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment with extreme weather, noises, and machinery.
