Job summary

MarekSawing & Drilling is seeking motivated individuals to join as Concrete Sawing & Drilling Helper/Trainees. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and mentorship with experienced operators on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You'll assist with sawing, drilling, and related tasks while learning to advance into operator roles. The team emphasizes safety, reliability, and long-term career growth in the construction trades.

Qualifications

• Construction, concrete, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to travel locally.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork.
• Comfortable working outdoor, indoor, or confined environments.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete sawing, coring, demolition, and removal activities on active job sites.
• Support layout, measuring, and precision cutting operations.
• Assist with demolition and structural modification projects.
• Work safely in commercial, industrial, medical, and roadway environments.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, Silica Safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
• Learn safe operation of specialized equipment (flatsaws, wallsaws, coredrills, handsaws, wiresaws, skidsteers).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment and materials.
