Job summary

Carroll Concrete, a CRH Company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our West Lebanon, NH operations. The role focuses on calibrating production and testing equipment, sampling and testing raw materials for specification compliance, and performing QC tests on concrete mixtures to ensure quality.

Record and report test results to dispatch and batch personnel, adjust mixes based on results, troubleshoot concrete issues, and maintain labs across plants.

Qualifications

• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Perform QC tests for entrained air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, setting time, water-cement ratio and strength.
• Record and report test results to dispatch, batch personnel.
• Use test results to make mix adjustments.
• Troubleshoot fresh/hardened concrete problems.
• Understand the batching system at all plants.
• Compliance with job description addendum.
• Running moisture tests.
• Assist in trial batches for state-approved designs and special project mixes.
• Assist in testing aggregates gradations for all plant locations.
• Maintain testing equipment, labs and lab equipment at all plants.
• Transport test cylinders to the lab, log, strip and mark cylinders, break cylinders.
