Job summary

Carroll Concrete, a CRH Company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician in West Lebanon, NH to ensure concrete products meet specifications. You will calibrate production and testing equipment, sample materials, and perform QC tests for properties like slump, air content, yield and strength, reporting results to dispatch and batch personnel.

You will use test results to adjust mixes, troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete issues, and support plant batching operations across locations.

Qualifications

• Experience with calibrating production and testing equipment.
• Ability to perform QC tests for concrete properties.
• Ability to record and report test results.
• Familiarity with batching and mix-design testing.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Perform QC tests for: entrained air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, setting time, water-cement ratio and strength.
• Record and report test results to dispatch, batch personnel.
• Use test results to make mix adjustments.
• Troubleshoot fresh/hardened concrete problems.
• Understand the batching system at all plants.
• Compliance with job description addendum.
• Running moisture tests.
• Assisting in the performance of trial batches: For state approved mix designs and for special project mix designs.
• Assisting in the testing of aggregates gradations for all plant locations.
• Maintain testing equipment, labs and lab equipment at all plants.
• Transport test cylinders to the lab, log, strip and mark cylinders, break cylinders.
