Job summary

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Quality Control Technician for concrete operations. You will provide inspection, testing services, and documentation for concrete plant facilities, developing relationships with DOT personnel, facility managers, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes compliance with DOT and state regulations, maintenance of test data, and adherence to safety policies. Occasional travel and off-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• ACI Level I and KCA Level II certifications preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications to test concrete as required by state regulations.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Must be 18 years or older; pass pre-employment checks.
• Must be willing to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, cement or other materials for quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures to comply with specs and QC tolerance.
• Keep test results database and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain lab equipment and certifications; follow QC plans and safety rules.
• Assist in solving QC-related problems and support team as needed.
