Job summary

Concrete Strategies LLC is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support the regional business unit with pre-construction review, technical assistance on quality issues involving submittals and RFIs, quality control management and compliance. You will coordinate with project teams and GC’s to ensure project quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements include strong knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with concrete construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices.
• Knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Contract/Scope/Specification review and interpretation
• Pre-construction specification review
• Pre-construction mix design review in conjunction with Corporate Quality Director, Materials specialists and suppliers
• Project safety compliance
• Regional project quality compliance
• Periodic project visits and quality compliance reviews
• Work with project teams to develop solutions to quality issues
• Coordination with GC/Owner when necessary
• Coordination with CSI Operations manager regarding manpower/resources
• Support and manage project quality staff within assigned region
