Job summary

Concrete Strategies LLC. seeks a Quality Control Engineer to lead QC activities for the regional unit. Responsibilities include pre-construction reviews, technical support on quality issues with submittals and RFIs, and ensuring compliance across projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of concrete production, testing, placement practices and codes (ACI, PCI, TCA). Travel to project sites and collaboration with GC/Owner are expected.

Job Overview

This position serves as the Quality Control Engineer for the business unit in which they are based. Responsibilities range from pre-construction project review, technical assistance with regards to quality issues involving submittals and RFIs, quality control management and compliance in the region, technical assistance with regards to project quality issues, and coordination and communication with project teams and GCs.

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with concrete construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
• Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
• Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
• Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
