Job summary

Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) is seeking a motivated Concrete Project Manager Intern to join our Richmond Heights team. You will assist Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, design meetings, buyouts, permitting, shop drawings, billing, and site visits to gain real-world experience.

The internship offers hands-on responsibilities, competitive hourly pay, housing stipend possibly, and a pathway to full-time opportunities upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor's degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describe project proposals and assign dollar values to the projects.
• Scheduling – Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subs.
• Permitting – Fill out permit forms, submit with drawings/fees, and obtain approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – Receive, review, and coordinate with PM to begin ordering materials.
• Billing – Manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job site visits – Inspect/site visits with PM to ensure smooth progress.
