Job summary

Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) in Richmond Heights is seeking a Concrete Project Manager Intern to join our team this summer. You will assist project managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing reviews, billing, and site visits.

Enrolled students pursuing Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management degrees with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn will thrive.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete on time.
• Design meetings – attend meetings to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Buyout – issue bid documents, receive proposals, and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – fill forms, submit with drawings and fees, and secure approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – coordinate with PM and subcontractors.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay apps.
• Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure smooth project progress.
