Job summary

VMI Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager in Ohio to build strategic client relationships, manage budgets, and oversee commercial and industrial concrete projects from bidding through completion.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in estimating/PM roles in concrete construction, proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff and Procore, and a track record of delivering profitable projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Proficiency with takeoff and project management software (Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore) is required.
• 3–5 years of estimating and/or project management experience with a concrete or self-perform contractor is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for client interaction and team coordination.
• Current valid driver’s license and successful pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Develop leads and sales of viable and profitable construction projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess scope and conditions.
• Estimate and bid work from drawings and specs, create RFIs, prepare takeoffs and proposals.
• Manage contract review, cost coding, and preliminary budget.
• Coordinate job transition and start-up processes with the Operations Team.
• Prepare, submit, and document all material submittals and budgets.
• Monitor productivity, material costs, and schedule to protect project profitability.
