Job summary

Gioia Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to build strategic relationships with commercial and industrial clients in the Columbus area. You will manage projects from planning through execution, coordinate with field teams, and prepare cost estimates and bid proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or Engineering
• 3–5 years estimating/PM experience in concrete or self-perform
• Proficiency with takeoff and project management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Develop leads and sales of viable and profitable construction projects
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess scope and conditions
• Estimate and bid work from required drawings and specifications, create RFIs, prepare accurate takeoffs, prepare proposals
• Perform initial contract review, cost coding, and preliminary budget
• Review drawings and specs for RFIs
• Coordinate job transition and start-up process
• Prepare, submit, and document all material submittals
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop and track an accurate project plan and budget
• Monitor productivity, material cost, and schedule
• Order and track project materials
• Communicate information, solutions, and opportunities to the entire team
• Create change orders to satisfy customer expectations
• Champion jobsite safety and manage project risk
