Job summary

Rinker Materials in Rapid City, SD is seeking a GENERAL LABORER to join our plant. You will mix and pour concrete, operate conveyors and mixers, and help with forms and material movement in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates read complex instructions, use hand and power tools, and can lift heavy objects. Prior manufacturing and forklift experience are preferred. Safety and quality standards are emphasized as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently; forklift or crane used above 50 pounds.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience operating an industrial forklift is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area
