Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete on active jobsites. You will perform slump, air, temperature tests and cylinder casting while the supervisor monitors accuracy and safety.

No prior experience is required; we train, sponsor ACI Field Grade I and related certifications, and support a pathway to lead roles as you gain field expertise. The work is outdoors and physically demanding.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• willingness to learn and be coached; certifications sponsored by the company.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
