Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Field Technician to perform concrete sampling, slump, air, and temperature testing, and to manage cylinder sets in outdoor construction sites. You will document results the same day and participate in on-site coordination with superintendents.

No prior experience is required; we provide training and sponsor certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety as you progress.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varied climates at sites across the Gulf Coast.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable; willingness to learn and be trained.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
