Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and set cylinders, documenting results the same day. The role is outdoors and physically active, with site-based testing across projects.

No prior experience is required for entry level: we train you and pay for your certifications, including ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety certification, with opportunities to advance into senior roles.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable; certification sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
