Job summary

CMC in North Charleston, South Carolina is seeking a dedicated individual to support the production of concrete pipe. This role involves preparing molds, assisting in the pouring process, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Availability for overtime on weekends as needed.
• Basic math and reading skills for measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn desired.
• Manufacturing or concrete experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production of concrete pipe from setup through shipment.
• Set up and prepare pipe molds appropriately.
• Assist in concrete pouring using mixers and buckets.
• Support curing process and organize work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Operates vibration/compaction equipment when necessary.

What You'll Do

• Support production of concrete pipe from setup through shipment
• Set up and prepare pipe molds (clean, assemble, apply release agents)
• Place reinforcing materials (steel cages, wire) per specifications
• Assist with concrete pouring using mixers, buckets, or automated equipment
• Support curing process and strip finished pipe from molds
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, sealing joints)
• Operate or assist with vibration/compaction equipment
• Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
