Job summary

Kokosing is hiring a Concrete Laborer to support heavy highway and concrete operations. You will load and move materials, assist with form setting and grading, and maintain a clean, safe work site. Candidates should have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel up to 3.5 hours from home; travel expenses are reimbursed for longer trips. OSHA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Have reliable personal transportation
• Be willing to work on projects up to 3.5 hours from home (travel compensation for longer distances)
• Kokosing is a drug-free workplace
• 1+ year of experience in heavy highway laborer work preferred, not required
• Experience in the concrete industry is a strong plus
• Current STP/OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour certifications; Kokosing will facilitate training if lacking

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
• Clean work area and restock as necessary
• Grade checking and form placement for pavement, curb, sidewalk
• Set and remove forms for pavement and barriers
• Safely operate hand tools and measuring devices
• Follow foreman directions and maintain safety standards
