Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Heavy Highway Laborer to support concrete and heavy civil projects.

You will load, transport, and furnish materials, tools, and equipment to the crew on site, assist with grade checking, and help place and rake concrete. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and is willing to travel up to 3.5 hours from home (travel expenses available for longer shifts).

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, unload, and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Grade checking.
• Help place and rake concrete.
• Set and remove pavement, barrier, curb, and sidewalk forms.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman.
• Safely handle electric and gas-powered hand tools, such as circular saws, drills, and cut-off saws.
• Use tape measure, folding rule, and 4ft level.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, unload, and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
• Grade checking
• Help place and rake concrete
• Set and remove pavement, barrier, curb, and sidewalk forms
• Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman

  • For projects 1.5 hours +, compensation for travel expenses are available
• Kokosing is a drug-free workplace

Experience:

• 1+ year(s) of experience inassociated Heavy Highway Laborer work preferred, but not required
• Experience in the concrete industry is a strong plus
• Current STP, OSHA 10 Hour, or OSHA 30 Hour
• Kokosing will facilitate STP and OHSA training for those lacking the certifications
