LV Concrete in Lancaster County is hiring for an entry-level Concrete Laborer. You will assist concrete carpenters and finishers with formwork, placement, curb and sidewalk tasks, and site cleanup.
The role requires working outdoors and collaborating with a team to keep job sites efficient. Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year in construction, knowledge of basic concrete tools, and a valid driver’s license.
Assist Concrete Carpenters / Concrete Finishers with various job tasks related to building concrete frame, floor and wall construction and site curb and sidewalk construction. Produce all work in a safe manner and work in a team-oriented environment.
Carry out tasks utilizing hand tools including the following: shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, floats, trowels, brooms, etc. Carry out tasks utilizing power equipment including the following: jack hammers, skid loaders, chipping guns, motorized wheelbarrows, concrete pumps, etc.
Work is primarily outdoors with occasional indoor construction. Work shifts may involve long hours and night shifts. Some work may include elevated workstations several stories above ground or work several stories below ground. Minimal out of town work may be required.
In a normal day, this position requires little to no sitting. The employee must be able to stand for 7+ hours, walk 4-6 hours and drive 1-4 hours. The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. maximum; frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to use upper extremities for repetitive simple grasping, pushing/pulling and fine manipulation. The employee must be able to bend at waist and squat the knees continuously (67-100%). The employee will frequently (34-66%) climb (including ladders), reach above shoulders and kneel. The employee will occasionally (0-33%) crawl, use feet (foot controls), and/or work at heights above 6 feet.
