Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Concrete Lab Technician to support daily operations by conducting concrete and construction materials testing in a laboratory setting. Tests follow ASTM, AASHTO and ACI standards, and all work adheres to AET QA/QC procedures.

The Level II Technician plays a key role in developing the department's expertise and efficiency. Responsibilities include performing tests, recording data, preparing samples, calibrating equipment, and assisting with field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of related experience.
• ACI Strength Testing Technician Certificate or other certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO/ACI standards and QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of concrete and construction materials.
• Record data and observations of materials and test results.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Provide basic on-the-job training to junior Technicians.
• Schedule tests and communicate results to Project Managers.
